Five HARMoNIC members took part in the external page Wetting Dynamics conference in Bonn (Germany) on 28th-30th September 2020.

external page Science Stories tells the story of HARMoNIC
The HARMoNIC project was featured in the first edition of Science Stories for 2020. In addition to the article, describing the first review meeting of HARMoNIC, the story includes an interview with Prof. Dr. Dimos Poulikakos, in which he reveals the importance of EU funding for research. The article is available in external page English and external page German.
Science Stories is a journal, published by EU GrantsAccess, and presenting a manifold of examples on the intensive cooperation of ETH Zurich and Univeristy of Zurich with European Union H2020 funding schemes.
The external page 45th International Conference on Micro & Nano Engineering took place on 23rd-26th Septmeber 2019 in Rhodes, Greece. The conference was organized by one of the HARMoNIC consoritum members, NCSR-D, with 4 members of the team acting as conference chairs (Gogolides, Tserepi, Constantoudis, Ellinas), and another one (Milionis, ETHZ) on the international advisory committee.
Divided into four main topics, the conference included a session on a topic directly related and extremely important to the HARMoNIC project: Nanofabrication for Functionality session, concentrating on nanofabrication processes for functional surfaces, such as superhydrophobic surfaces, membranes, optical surfaces.
During the conference, the HARMoNIC team gave a presentation: Fully Organic and Biodegradable, Cellulose-based, Superhydrophobic Materials, A. Milionis, C. S.Sharma, R. Hopf, M. Uggowitzer, I. S.Bayer, D. Poulikakos.
